What is a vacation?

Lance decided to take the entire week off for vacation this week. We are also on vacation from preschool for two weeks and dance class. So this morning at breakfast the discussion was "what does vacation mean..." All I had to say is "Daddy is not working this week, he is on vacation," and that was it, the questions started shooting from Carter's mouth! That boy can wear you out with the questions, but he is always learning. When we explained that we don't go to school or dance or any of our "regular" places this week because we are on vacation. That's when they both started talking about getting on an airplane. I asked why and they said you have to go on an airplane for a vacation...this is straight from Curious George in case you missed that episode. George and the man with the yellow hat fly to Hawaii for "vacation." I asked them where they wanted to fly and Carter said, "Texas." Now, do you think the boy is brain-washed or what? Ella Claire said she wanted to go to DisneyWorld. I asked them what would we do in Texas and Ella Claire said..."Daddy will play football and get a trophy!" Now....in Lance's world, that would be a vacation!

To start our vacation, we were at the doctor with Ella Claire this morning. She wasn't herself yesterday and ran a little fever. Turns out she has a urinary tract infection, a touch of pneumonia and apparently a stomach virus. After the doctor's visit and her nap, she seemed to feel some better. We loaded up and headed to the grocery store tonight to buy ingredients to make some goodies this week. As she and Lance were checking out, she threw up all over the floor...then when we got home, she got her bed and the bathroom floor. She is now asleep in our bed which has no covers from where she threw up in it last night. Hopefully all this will be out of her system in time for Santa Thursday morning.

Just too sweet....

Last night was Ella Claire's Christmas dance concert. She just loves to dance and was so excited to get all dressed up for her big night. We decided Carter would have much more fun staying with his Aunt Lea Ann and Uncle Mike, so he packed a big bag of toys and off he went.
The concert was beautiful...when those lights go out and all those girls come out in their costumes, it is just magical. This year, Ella's cousin Megan was dancing as well and they were smart enough to put them side by side so we could watch them both dance. After the concert, I went to the back to get Ella Claire and she couldn't wait to go find her daddy and see if he had brought her flowers. This is something most of the daddy's do, and at her first concert we didn't realize it and felt horrible. She did get flowers last Spring and apparently remembered the protocol and was expecting them. Of course, her daddy was waiting at the end of the hallway with her flowers! We left and went to pick Carter up. It is very rare that when we are in the van, that it isn't all of us, so it was good to get Carter and put him in the van with us. He was so excited to see us and the first thing he said when he got in the van was..."Ella, your flowers are nice and Ella, you look pretty..." I just started crying...he is such a sweet, sweet boy and he loves his sister. We ended the big night at Cracker Barrel eating pancakes....what a sweet night!

Who will you marry?

This past Sunday, Lance and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We talked to the kids about it being our anniversary, so of course they had a lot of questions? Ella Claire got very excited because she thought she and I were going to get to put on "a beautiful white gown..." We explained that anniversaries are like birthdays sort of. Then we asked them who they were going to marry when they grow up. Ella Claire is going to marry Carter....Carter listed several people, but when we told him he had to pick just one, he said he wanted to marry Page. She's the little girl in the pictures from our BBQ square dancing a few weeks ago. We are all getting excited about Christmas...this is the first year in our new house, but it also causes a dilemma. Their bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house from our bedroom, so when they get up, they will see what Santa left in the great room before we can see their reaction. Hopefully, they will get up around 6:30am like each day and it will still be dark and they won't notice and come straight to our room. Yesterday, the kids took a longer nap than normal. They don't nap each day, but when they do, I make sure to wake them up by 3pm or they will never go to sleep at night. Well, I accidentally fell alseep with them and when we all woke up it was 3:30pm. So, we put them down last night with our normal routine, of devotion, brush teeth, go to their rooms and say their prayers. It was around 8:45 when we got them to bed. Around 9pm I heard a lot of talking. I went to their hallway and as I peeped into Ella Claire's room, they were both in her bed under the covers and Ella Claire was reading a book to them..."DW Rides Again.." I just stepped in and reminded them it was bedtime and they were to go to sleep. I walked Carter back to his room, got him tucked in and then went and checked on Ella once more. I knew they were not sleepy, but it was 9pm. A few minutes later I heard them again. I went back and they were talking across the hall to each other...so I gave in and gave them both 2 books a piece to read in their own beds. Some time passed and I assumed they were asleep until around 10:30 when we heard them again. I told Lance it was time for him to go in and see what was up. It took him a while and when he got back he said they were both up, lights all on, in Carter's floor just reading. Ella Claire said..."Daddy can you finish this book for me?" The kids love, love, love to read. They get this from Lance because I have no reading drive in me. We have a busy weekend coming up with Christmas gatherings and such. They will celebrate their birthday at school this week, since we will be on break on their actual birthday. For some reason them turning four is really bothering me. Somehow four sounds a lot older than three. I have cried thinking about my babies, not being babies ever again. Time does fly...too fast.

Never Ending Learning....

Silent letters are all the rage at our house right now. Carter and Ella Claire love to find words that have silent letters in them. Now, I know most of you think I sit around all day and teach these kids, but I promise I don't...we just talk about anything we are doing. Both kids are always reading road signs, streets, signs, etc while we are driving. One day, Carter saw a sign for Knights Hotel and he was trying to sound it out and we explained that the "k" was silent and you didn't say it. Well, that's all it took. They were both hooked. Now we are always on the lookout for silent letters. One of their books happens to have the work "knob" in it...once again, they were trying to sound it out and we explained about the silent "k"...Carter looks up at Lance and said..."I like to say knob..." He said this making a hard k sound at the beginning...we laughed because it was too cute. They have a puzzle their cousin Scott handed down to them that has all 50 states and their capitals. They love to put in the Iowa piece because Des Moines has TWO silent letters!!!!
We had a good Thanksgiving. The kids had a big feast at school to celebrate the holiday. They made Indian shirts and feather headbands. I got to go and have lunch with them that day. It was a great memory maker! After filling our bellies full we made turkeys with Megan and Elliott out of Oreo cookies! It was an adventure! We also made a gingerbread house later that week and they kids and Lance ate more of the candy than actually made it on the gingerbread house.
The kids are so enjoying all the Christmas decorations and each time a commercial comes on TV, they scream "I want that.." no matter what it is. At their preschool this week, they informed me that their teacher had to call Santa on her cell phone because the class was not listening at story time. Ella Claire said..."and Santa was not happy with us!"
Friday night we headed out to the Billy Graham Library. This was our first time going and it was breathtaking. They had a live nativity scene with camels, donkey's and goats. The kids really enjoyed it and the decorations at the place were unreal.
Saturday morning we had breakfast at their preschool and the plan was to sit on Santa's lap and have their picture made. The kids were so excited, until they actually saw the big man in the red suit. Carter had no part of it....no picture, no nothing! Ella Claire sat on his lap and with her finger in her mouth mumbled that she wanted a barbie.
Today was the 2nd annual cousin's Christmas party. We get together and have a birthday party for Jesus. We made an ornament and then created a nativity scene from stickers and finally decorated their own cupcakes and we sang happy birthday to Jesus. It is only December 7th and I am pooped...it is a busy month, but our favorite time of year!

The Crud Has Hit

Not a whole lot to blog about this week. We have been sort of house-bound for the most part because Carter has been sick. We took him to the doctor Monday night and they tested him for whooping cough, but now he is much better since all his meds.
Last night around 1am... Ella Claire came in our room with croup...so we are skipping church today...hopefully hers will be short-lived. They have their first Thanksgiving meal at school this week and I would hate for her to miss it.
We had a clean-up learning time this week. On Thursday, we went to the play room and I had a large container for each of them. We went through all their toys and they had to decide what to keep and what to give away to kids that don't have much. Carter must have a giving spirit because he wanted to give just about everything away. Ella Claire was much more attached to her things and it took some convincing to get her started but once she did, she was right there with us. Just today she found a necklace that is too little for her to dress up with her she headed straigh to her give away box and put it in.
Yesterday Lance went to church to help out with our Do Unto These projects for the community, so the kids and I decided to decorate their Christmas trees in their rooms. We had gone last week and let them pick out their ornaments. As soon as Carter saw a blue and silver star he wanted it...Dallas Cowboys! He also wanted "colorful" lights...I do not favor muli-colored lights, but it is their tree and I have mine, so to each his own. They sang, "Oh Christmas Tree" while they helped me arrange the branches and then they went to town decorateing their own tree.
After we were done, Lance came home and we were going to eat lunch. I guess Ella Claire was in the decorating mood and she took some of her necklaces and magic wands and decorated each of our chairs at the table for our lunch!
The plan is to decorate the rest of the house today. We are excited to be in our new home for our first Christmas!

Where to even begin....

It seems there is never a dull moment in our household. It is 10:25 pm on Monday night and I am so ready for the weekend...already. We ended up taking Carter to the doctor tonight. He's been coughing for a week or two and I was just treating him with OTC medicine, but it got worse over the weekend. He threw up a couple of times the cough was so severe. Little did I know that whooping cough is making itself an epidemic in Gaston County. He was tested for it, but we won't get the results for a week, but the doctor put him out of preschool all week to be safe. On the way to the doctor tonight, he started a coughing spell and threw up as we drove down the road...Lance pulls the van over and when I open the van door, all I see if red puke all over Carter and his car seat. I had just fed him pancakes for dinner, so I could not figure out what the red was from and then it hit me...he had a red cupcake at Grandmommy and PawPaw's this afternoon. I had to take his coat off and wipe him down while I gagged myself! It was lovely! When we get to the doctor, I had an extra coat in the van...but it was pink...but he had to wear it..he had on short sleeves and my daddy would have a coronary thinking that kid was outside with no coat on! To test for whooping cough, they stick this metal probe in his nose about 4 inches on both sides. It took me and the nurse to hold him down, but he did not like it one bit...and cried so hard...I had to stop and get him some french fries on the way home and of course all is right in Carter's world tonight! Back-tracking over the weekend...We took the kids out Friday night to fill their Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. This was the first year we've done the boxes because they are at an age to understand what it means. At dinner we explained that we were going to buy toys for some other kids that don't have much money or don't have parents to buy them things and that tonight, Ella and Carter don't get to pick anything out for themselves...just for another little boy and another little girl. As we sat in McAlister's Deli they were all excited and couldn't wait to get to the Dollar Store and Target, but boy was it a different story once the choosing process started. We had to remind them SEVERAL times that tonight was about helping other kids, not them. After shopping we came home and sat in the living room floor and packed our boxes and they each held their box and we all prayed for the little boy and little girl that would get these gifts for Christmas. This is a tradition that we hope to continue each year. I got an email last week from the editor of Parenting Life...a Christian magazine for parents raising small children. I had submitted the story of Carter saying the Lord's Prayer and ending it with the pledge of allegiance. He made the cut...his story will be in their June 2009 issue and he is being paid $20...the first member of our family to be published...unless you count his Uncle Brian, but Medical Journals are really that important...HA! On Friday, we were home all day and it was raining outside, so it was a good day to stay in our pajamas. We were upstairs playing and after a while, I came to check my email and they wondered downstairs. I then heard the bathroom door shut and then silence....never a good sign. I go down and they are in our bathroom with the door shut. I open the door and Ella Claire is in the tub with the bottle of soap and has poured it every bit out into the rinse cup we use for their baths and was she has her shampoo bottle squeezing the "pink stuff" into the cup as well. They looked like two deer caught in headlights...but I just laughed and told them the bathtub is not somewhere to play, and we cleaned up and went on about our day! I am waiting for the day that I can't find them and Carter has cut Ella Claire's hair....it happened to Kim and Brent...he chopped her bangs right off once and told our mom...."doesn't she look pewty?" We have a knight in shining armor among us. In Sunday School yesterday, there was a new little boy in their classroom that apparently had some "issues" according to the teacher. For some reason he singled Ella Claire out and picked on her most of the morning. She would ask him to stop and the teachers would move him away, but he was relentless they said. Carter had had enough....the next time the little boy touched Ella Claire, they said Carter hit the boy and said..."you leave my sista alone." Now Carter is a honest as the day is long, so on the way home we were talking to them about it and he says..."Mommy...I was mean to that boy." He may have been mean, but we were proud of him standing up for his "big" sister! Finally, we put up two Christmas trees on the front porch this weekend....I am in an early Christmas mood this year and couldn't wait. Our inside tree is not up yet, but probably will be this weekend. We also have a nativity set we bought last year, just for them to play with. They have had the best time with that scene. I am amazed at how much they have played with it. Tonight while I was giving Carter all his medicine, Ella Claire was working intently with the toys and at the same time singing..."Ah, Ah, Ah, Gloria...in excelsis deo..." I stopped Lance as he was walking in the kitchen and we just stood and watched her little mind take it all in. When I sat down with her she had all the wise men bending over and looking at baby Jesus...she said..."they are worshipping him mama....and giving him their presents"

Life Lessons....

We had a very fun and full weekend to say the least. Saturday morning we headed out to run some errands and we ended up at the "Bob and Larry Store." For those of you that are confused...that would be Lifeway Bookstore to anyone over the age of 10...but that's what it is called in our family. The kids were just in awe at all the Christmas things that were on display. We kept reminding them to look only, no touching. We can all imagine the curiosity of a kid when you say "no touching..." what are they going to do..."TOUCH!!!" Ella Claire was going on and on about how lovely and beautiful everything was and then we hear..crack... and I was afraid to turn around. Sure enough...a big, breakable, expensive Christmas something was broken on the floor. She didn't know what to do...she just stood there frozen. Lance was so wonderful with her. He got down on her level and explained that was the reason we had asked her not to touch. They picked it up and brought it to the counter and we tried to pay for it, but they were nice enough to let it slide. Lance did have her apologize to the lady, but mostly she stood there and her tongue wiggled in her mouth at a very rapid pace...she finally whispered as I held her hand..."I'm sorry." I felt so sorry for her, but hopefully she'll remember it next time we are in that store or any other store with "untouchables."
When we got back in Saturday afternoon it was nap time and we were all tired. We have a basket in the foyer for their shoes and I asked them to put their shoes in the basket and go pee pee. I looked around and Carter was standing at the shoe basket, pants down, peeing on the basket. I yelled.."NO" and he stopped mid-stream and was so embarrassed. I guess all he heard was basket and pee. It got all over the back of the door and the window, but we all had a good hug out of it!
Saturday night we went to a place in Hickory called Sims BBQ...we went with our SS class from church. You drive way, way, way out in the country...so far, most of the roads do not have road signs...thank goodness for a GPS! We get there and it is a big barn and they serve all you can eat, chicken, pork and beef BBQ. As you are eating there is a live bluegrass band playing and young girls clogging. After everyone finished eating all the kids got to go down front and dance as well. Ella Claire was a little apprehensive at first, but Carter was full force on the dance floor. He did inherit his daddy's moves....and you can imagine what that looks like if you've ever seen Lance dance...it ain't pretty! Carter's dancing is a combo of break dancing and gymnastics flipping. They did have all the kids come out and the parents and we did a square dance, which he loved. By the end of the night, there wasn't a dry hair on his head and his face was blood red...but the boy had a good time.
We got home so late Saturday night, that the kids got baths Sunday morning before church. Lance was helping give Ella Claire a bath and that is a great time to have one on one time with them and really talk and see what's going on in their world. They were talking about things and she looked and realized she had a scratch on her finger. She told Lance.."I have a boo boo on my finger and God hasn't healed it yet." Lance explained that sometimes it takes a little while and her response was.."I guess He is asleep." He then explained that God never sleeps and is always awake to talk to us and one day in Heaven we'll never sleep or get tired or even get boo, boo's. He said she was quiet for a minute and you could see the wheels turning and then she said..."God doesn't sleep even if he plays for a long, long time?" and "We won't get tired in Heaven even if we play for a long, long time?" Wouldn't it be great to go back and have the simplicity of the world through those eyes???
To round out the festivities, Monday night was Carter's soccer banquet and he received his first trophy of many more to come. He is so proud of his trophy. The only time it has left his grip is to sleep and bathe. I had to explain that he couldn't take it to school today, so it stayed in the van waiting on him!

Mexican Jumping Beans....

We have had a crazy week. Preschool has been closed so the teachers could go to training, so I've been gone way more than I like to be from the kids this week. Lance has worked late...so late, that yesterday he clocked 18 straight hours at the hospital. Came home at 2:30am, slept for 4 hours and back at it until 5pm today. So, we went out to eat tonight....who would guess...yes, to eat Mexican. That is our favorite cuisine....our first date was Mexican....ate it at least once a week dating...went to Mexico as part of our honeymoon...and ate it all the time during my pregnancy. Needless to say...we now have two true Mexican jumping beans on our hands. The kids love cheese quesadillas. It was probably a year and a half ago that we were eating somewhere and Ella Claire told the waiter she wanted a quesadilla and said it correctly....we just looked at each other, laughed and shook our heads. Carter knows to ask the waiter if the salsa is regular or mild and the boy can put away some chips and salsa. We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend together. Last weekend was packed with non-family things, so we didn't get to see each other a lot. Lance had to teach Sunday School on Sunday, so that takes up a lot of his time to prepare...so we are planning on spending a lot of family time together. Tomorrow night we are going with our Sunday School class to a place in Hickory that serves BBQ outside with live bluegrass music.....can't wait to show you pictures.

It's Just a Costume....

So, Friday night was Halloween as you all know. I went on the town with the two cutest McKids around. Carter was a carton of McDonald's french fries, which is appropriate. That boy could eat french fries...specifically from McDonald's....for every meal of every day. Ella Claire was a McDonald's chocolate milkshake...which again is appropriate. The girl loves chocolate....of any kind...she is being raise right!
We started off by going to see Granny at her work...it is tradition to take them and let all her coworkers see her pride and joy. Then it was on to the hospital to let Lance see them and his coworkers as well. We then loaded up and headed to our church carnival. This was our first year doing trunk or treat. Each car we would come to, they would make a comment on the kid's costumes. Most people would ask for a french fry because they were so hungry and a sip because they were so thirsty. Carter's immediate response each time was..."It's just a costume..." He is one literal child. He can't deviate from routine or the norm...it's just not in him.
We left the church and headed to McDonald's to eat in the hopes of getting some free food with the 2 cutest commercials they had ever seen. No suck luck...it is Gastonia after all.
We rounded out the night with a stop at Grandmommy and PawPaw's and then to aunt Lea Ann's. These kids got more candy than they could carry. It has all since been eaten...all the chocolate anyway. Boy...do those kids eat a lot of candy....Lance and I didn't get one piece! (If you believe that, I feel sorry for you.)
Lance has already decided that Luke and Leah will make their grand entrance for Halloween 2009...we'll see! He also wanted to name them Luke and Leah...but it was vetoed!!!!

Random Things....

I really thought I would be much better about keeping up with this blog, but it just takes time to sit down and actually do this. Right now, the kids are asleep and I should be folding laundry and/or washing dishes, but I am putting my foot down and making myself do this. I have been making a list since my last post so I wouldn't forget things I wanted to write and so the kids would remember those things...
Ella Claire...I love her personality...she is her father's daughter. She has a wit about her that cracks me up. The other morning she woke up and she always likes to crawl in bed with her daddy while I shower and snoodle with him. I was finished with my shower and they were talking and she says..."This side of my nose isn't working..." We got tickled...what she meant was her nose was stopped up from a cold and she assumed it had just stopped working! Ella Claire is a girly girl. She loves to dress up and always asks where I "brought" this outfit...(bought). She loves it when I tell her if it used to be a friend of her's at church...we have a lot of hand-me-downs...Praise Jesus!!! The other day, I actually broke down and bought myself some new clothes and as we were getting out of the van at church she said...."Oh Mommy...I love your new shoes, they are so lovely!" Bless her...she is the sweetest! She is really starting to pick up her reading now. Carter has been reading really well for about 6 months, and she is catching up with him. She had a workbook I bought at the Dollar Store and it was all Sesame Street math...she worked on that book, by herselft for one hour at the kitchen table. She amazes me. I kept asking her if she wanted to play, but she was content with her crayons and her counting!
Now onto Carter....oh how I love my boy! He has the sweetest, most gentle spirit about him. When he was born, Lance and I both said we hoped he was a nice, sweet boy like our friend's Gina and Kelly's son Caleb. We've always admired how they raise their children and Caleb is so sweet and caring and we got our wish...so is our Carter...or as he calls himself..."just Carter." Carter can be very particular. Things have to always go in a certain order. Don't skip one word in a book because he can't let you continue until you've corrected your error. If we call him a silly nickname, he likes it at first, but then says..."no...I'm just Carter." Lance and I went to the beach last weekend. The first time in 2 years that we've left them. One of the many times we called to talk to them he got on the phone and we were talking and out of the blue he says.."Mommy, I need to say my scripture for you..." They both have scripture painted on their walls and he loves to recite his. I stood there and cried in the parking lot of Barefoot Landing at once again the sweetness of this boy of mine!
You haven't lived until you see Carter eat a jelly biscuit. He makes that thing look like gold. He savors every single morsel of that biscuit and always wants more. Another Carterism is "little bit, or big bit." If I say..."we're going to Grandmommy's and Paw Paw's." He always asks, "are we going to stay a big bit or a little bit?" He came up with this after many times of saying...we're going such and such for a just a little bit and he took off the little and added the big when he's going somewhere fun!
The other day at school was silly hair day. We had talked about it for a week or so to get them prepared because we know how Carter is with change of routine. Ella Claire was so excited...she had me put 6 pony tails in her hair with all different color ribbbons. I sent Carter into the bathroom with Lance and he came out with a faux hawk. It was adorable...and he was all smiles. The next thing we know, he is sitting on the steps and said he didn't feel good. We asked him what was wrong and he said he didn't want to go to school. I asked him what hurt and he said..."I just want regular hair." Again...I fell over laughing...I love him so. So, needless to say, Carter went to school with "regular hair."
We have been teaching the kids the Lord's Prayer as part of our family devotion time at night. A few weeks ago, Ella and I were sitting in the floor getting ready to read the Bible and Lance was in the bathroom across from their bedroom. Carter gets down on his knees beside his bed, folds his hands and says...."Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name....in liberty and justice for all." I couldn't help it but grab him and we all had a family bear hug...too cute. Ella Claire loves to say the blessing anytime we eat. She recites the one they say at snack time at school. I will type it as she says it...."Fold your hands and bow you heads, let's talk to Jesus now. God our Fader, God our Fader, we fank vee, we fank vee, for our many blessings, for our many blessings, a-amen, a-amen!" She is too precious.
If you've read this....you must really be bored, or really love our kids like we do. Their is a section at the bottom of each blog where you can comment if you would like.
Hopefully, I will do better at updating this for them. I will definitely put up their Halloween pictures after tomorrow.

A day in the life...

For those that have known us for a while...it always seems like the "crazy" stuff happens to us or the Greene side of my family. For example...on the twins first Halloween I was arrested...yes arrested for forgery. Turns out they had the wrong Leslie Greene, but I got booked, fingerprints, mug shot..the works...no trick or treat for me! Then two years ago, our home was broken into after Lance left that morning for his accountability group. A man kicked in our back door and I met him in the living room....I screamed, he ran...no harm done to us, but fear racked me for months. We moved into our new house this past February...a quite little neighborhood in Dallas. We love it here...but it turned out not to be as quiet as we had hoped. Monday night we all went out for a walk and our neighbor meets us on the street to say we better get back inside. There had been a robbery in Dallas and 5 men were on the loose and in our woods. Needless to say we get back home and almost immediately the helicopters are swarming our area. We look out and police cars in in our cul de sac. The helicopters are so close it sounds as if someone is cutting our grass. There was no way we could stay there and feel safe, so we packed up the van...loaded up the kids and camped out at my parents house. They ended up catching all the criminals by noon the next day and thank goodness no one was harmed...but ironically the policeman that responded to our old house break-in was the same cop that was in our driveway telling Lance what was going on in our backyard so to speak. It truly is NEVER dull at our house....just come hang out for a while!

Our very first BLOG!

So...being that Lance is a Computer Guru and knows all things "technology" we are just now entering the world of blogging. Neither Lance nor I have ever sent a text message, we don't have Ipods....just bare with us!!! I am creating this blog just as a way to journal for Ella Claire and Carter to remember funny little things that happens to our family and friends. Over the weekend, we all went to Carter's last soccer game of the season. He and his friend Daniel, were way more interested in playing tackle football with each other than actually playing soccer. Lance says all that matters is that his boy started the game for all 6 weeks of play. Each night we read a Bible story to the kids before bedtime. Friday night happened to be on the birth of Christ. One of the words for them to remember was womb...of course that brought up a myriad of questions from two curious 3 year olds. We explained what a womb was...in 3 year old terms. We explained that just girls have a womb and Carter wanted to know what he has and Lance rubbed his own beard and told Carter that one day he would have whiskers. So as sweet and innocent as ever...Carter rubs his face around his mouth and his eyes got big and he said.."I can feel them Mama." Well, I almost fell off the couch laughing at his sweet face! Our Ella Claire...she is truly a princess. She loves all things girly and enjoys dressing up...but especially with her cousin Megan. They are both such girly girls. She is a daddy's girl and would rather be on his lap than any other place on earth. Please check back...I'm not sure how often I will post, but at least this is a start!
